Now, we will dismantle the Whatsminer M10 miner machine. After dismantling, we can see the aluminum alloy heat sinks that are used in the hash boards of the miner. They have provided heat sinks on both sides of the hash board. A thermally conductive adhesive is used in the front heat sink. It is from 3M. They have used silicon grease on the backside. It is reinforced with the help of spring screws.

Installation and Debugging of the Whatsminer M10 miner machine
The installation process of the Whatsminer M10 miner machine is quite simple. The hardware connections are not complex. Anyone can easily make it. You need to plug in the power cable of the Whatsminer M10 miner machine. After that, you can connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet interface of the miner. You need to connect the other end of the ethernet cable to your router. Now, you are done with the hardware connections.
Now, you need to find the IP address of the Whatsminer M10 miner machine.
The Whatsminer M10 miner machine will assign the IP address automatically once you power ON the miner machine. You can go to your router to find the IP address of the miner. After finding the IP address, you need to go to the network browser and input the IP address here. It will take you to the login page of the miner. You need to enter the username and password here to get into the miner configuration page. If you are using the miner machine for the first time, you can use root as the username and password to log in. After logging in, you can set your user name and password.
Now, you need to enter the mining pool address and the miner’s name. You can click on the Configuration / CGMiner Configuration located on the upper side of the menu. You can change the address in Pool 1 for the main mining pool. You can also change the name of the Pool 1 worker. You must also change the Pool 1 password details. Pool 2 and Pool 3 are spare pools. You can enter the backup mining pool details here.
If you are using lots of mining machines in the network, you will have to change the IP address of the miners. First, you can go to the “Configuration/ Interfaces” located in the upper menu section to enter the IP address setting interface of the miner. Then, you can click on the Edit option here to fix the IP address. Once you are done with all the modifications, you can click on the Status/ CG Miner Status, located in the upper menu section, to go back to the homepage.
There is no Chinese language support in this version of the CGMiner. So, you can find the simple translation interface.

Now, we will perform different tests on the Whatsminer M10 miner machine. We will do the ambient measurements first. The ambient temperature in the room is around 25 degrees Celsius. The measured noise level in the room is around 45 decibels. Once you power ON the miner machine, the fans in the system will be running at full speed. The level of noise is around 92 decibels during this time. The standby power of the Whatsminer M10 miner machine is around 17 W.
Once the Ethernet cable is plugged into the Whatsminer M10 miner machine, the miner will start its normal operation. You can see an increase in the computing power of the machine, temperature, fan speed, and noise levels now. All these parameters will settle down to their respective values after a time interval of 10 minutes.
The overall power consumption of the Whatsminer M10 miner machine is around 2200 to 2205 W. There were no major fluctuations in the power consumption.
The measured noise levels were in the range of 90 to 94 decibels.
